Shelley was recommended to me by H Porter and Sons, Stourbridge, to conduct my mother’s funeral service a few months ago. From the beginning, her approach was professional, caring and sympathetic. Shelley visited me at home to find out about Mom’s life and the things that had been important to her. She was concerned not just to get all of the details factually correct but also to ensure that the eulogy was precisely in accordance with our family’s wishes. Although we had asked for a humanist, rather than religious, service Shelley clearly appreciates that people’s beliefs are not always clear cut, and she was happy to incorporate a couple of religious (Christian) elements as well. She gave us very helpful advice on the various stages of the service, sending me drafts of the eulogy for approval several days beforehand. Shelley was happy to make any changes and additions we asked for and offered some very useful guidance on choosing appropriate music. At the service itself, her presentation was measured but, more importantly, both heartfelt and sincere. Everyone attending remarked upon how moving it was and how well it had reflected Mom’s life. All in all, we are very glad that we chose Shelly to conduct Mom’s service and I would certainly have no reservations about recommending her services to other families.

In the chats before the big day, she guided us through the ceremony plans, and told us some example timings etc, to help us plan more than just the ceremony. I’d like to thank you on behalf of the family for how you conducted the ceremony. It was exactly how Alan and the boys needed it to be, dignified and respectful. This family is quite a complicated one, but you delivered the ceremony beautifully and I hope that they all now find some peace as they move through the next phase of their lives without L. Once again thank you.

We recently had the funeral for our mum and were lucky enough to have Shelley to conduct the service. Shelley took the time to find out about my mum and who she was which came across in such a lovely, warm and thoughtful way. Shelley was also very kind in how sensitively and gently dealt with my dad. Shelley’s email contact was really quick and responsive and she very much allowed us as a family to lay out how we wanted things to be. Shelley also complied the service into a folder which she sent to my dad, who is hard of hearing which he found really touching as it has meant he can re-read the words he did not hear on the day. As a family we would we thoroughly recommend Shelley.

From beginning to end and even afterwards Shelly was kind, caring, professional and calm. She took extra care to make sure everyone had a chance to have an input into the service. I would definitely recommend her.

Shelley performed a funeral ceremony for me recently and did a great job. We had a couple of calls beforehand to go through the details of my uncle’s life. She was very easy to talk to and I was very pleased with the Eulogy she wrote. All the mourners at the ceremony said they were impressed with words she spoke and the way she delivered them. A big thank you from me for making a very difficult time a little easier.

The service viewed from a distance had a surreal quality to it, unintentionally I’m sure but a sad reflection of how weird everything is. A special thanks for getting my disembodied eulogy to work.

We didn’t want a religious service for my Mom, so we chose Shelley to help us organise a more personal and fitting tribute to her. Shelley took the time to go into great detail with us about my mom’s life and produced a really beautiful Eulogy full of interesting anecdotes and happy personal memories, which she then delivered in an extremely professional yet sympathetic manner as part of what was, despite the difficult circumstances of only 10 of us being allowed to be there, a really lovely service. We really felt that Shelley took the time to make sure the service was everything we wanted, and she helped with details such as organising music, readings and orders of service with the undertakers. Shelley has also taken the time to get in touch after the service, which is a lovely touch, and has sent my dad a beautifully presented copy of the Eulogy and a handwritten note which he really appreciated. If you are looking for someone to celebrate someone’s life in a more personal, warm, slightly humorous where appropriate yet superbly professional way, then i doubt you will find anyone better than Shelley!

Shelley was outstanding, amazing and truly sincere. She was so professional, calm and considerate. My husband died suddenly although he had been ill for some time. Shelley gave me and my family the support we needed at this difficult time and took away a lot of pressure with the funeral arrangements. She guided us well with her gentle and caring manner. She was there for me again, unfortunately when my mother died just 3 weeks later. I can’t thank Shelley enough for all she did for me and my family. Both David and I were REALLY impressed with the lovely way that you spoke about P and it made an otherwise tricky day a lot easier.  Your delivery was flawless in its tone, compassion and empathy – not, I suspect, easy to achieve when you know so little about a person. So, may I just say a big thank you to you for your kindness and if anyone needs reassurance about your abilities and services, please refer them to myself. Take care and once again, many thanks.

Shelley was kind and considerate. She came to our house and listened to the family reminisce about my Dad, she was thoughtful and wanted to know him as he was. The service was delivered professionally but with compassion and Shelley did my dad justice. Many people watched online and said how thoughtful, clear and compassionate Shelley was in unprecedented circumstances. Will be in touch for an ashes service.
